Bloomery Decor, a designer story

Bloomery Decor was born from a simple but deeply felt wish: to bring genuine artistry and inspiration into the places where we live. Founded in 2018 by designer Julie Coste, the studio is based in the historic heart of The Hague — nestled between the North Sea coast and the iconic city of Delft.

Drawing on a rich background in fashion design and art direction, Bloomery Decor creates signature prints for wallpaper, fabric, and home accessories. Each collection is infused with a contemporary bohemian spirit — rooted in nature, shaped by travel, and layered with detail to adorn your home and space, one print at a time.

My design journey

With an innate love of making and a background spanning fashion design and art direction, I've had the privilege of designing apparel, accessories, and home decor collections over the past two decades.

In 2008, I set off to Bali to launch Treasures Design, a womenswear brand built around craftsmanship and ethical values. Travelling across Indonesia and beyond, I immersed myself in fascinating cultures and textiles — experiences that would shape everything that followed.

That journey led me to launch Bloomery Decor in 2018: a sustainable design brand rooted in the beauty of nature, the richness of global craft traditions, and a love of storytelling through print. Working with a blend of hand-drawn and digital techniques, each piece is created with meticulous care — designed to bring joy, warmth, and a little wonder into everyday spaces.
